You don’t have to be an expert to use it, because I am not.
Most of the energy (heat) you will use in your engine may go to a cooler, which works as a secondary heat source (external).

If you are not sure about the heat transfer from the external source and the heat transfer due to the secondary heat source, I suggest you watch the relevant videos.

If you have the option to choose between two heat sources, you will have to choose which one to use when cooling (temperature delta between heat sources and cooling is negative) and when heating (temperature delta between heat sources and heating is positive).
The first thing you need to do is to input heat source temperature and is a rough estimate of the heat transferred.
You can enter a known or hypothetical amount of heat.
Also you can use the elevation of the heat source temperature as a reference.
I recommend the latter because the engine will use more energy when working on an elevation than when working on sea level.
Output after input:

I see this as the transfer of heat from one heat source to the other, where the ratio of heat transferred between the two heat sources is as you can see the output.
Hence, I can see the thermodynamic efficiency of the engine at 75%.
The results are also shown when the heat transfer coefficient of the heat sink (external) and the secondary heat source (internal) are modified.
